Billing allows you to collect and record payments for lessons and classes on the calendar, as well as other items such as memberships. There are a large variety of billing methods available. You can choose which billing methods to use depending on your business practices.
Types of billable items
There are five types of billable items:
- Lessons
- Classes
- Packages
- Memberships
- Charges
Lessons and classes are created by scheduling on the calendar. Packages and memberships can be added to a customer’s account by a manager, or bought by the customer in the store. Charges are added by a manager.
Billing methods
Each billable item has a “billing status”, which reflects whether payment has been recorded for that item. Payments can be recorded in several ways:
- Mark as paid
- Include in a package (lessons, classes, and membership)
- Pay from credit (lessons and classes)
- Include in an invoice
- Send to QuickBooks
The large variety of billing options allows you to choose a billing method that best fits your business practices. You might even choose different billing methods at different times depending on the customer, item, time of payment, or other considerations. Any method used for accepting payment will integrate with all the other available billing methods.
